STEENWYK, Klaas It is with profound sadness that our family announces the sudden passing at the Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday January 19th, 2016. Klaas Steenwyk of Mallorytown aged 74 years. Beloved husband of Cathy Galway and the late Maxine (Barkley). Dear father of Mary LaRocque (Kyle Craig) of Peterborough, Steven Steenwyk (Laurie) of Mallorytown and the late Tammy Kennedy; and stepfather of Tracey Galway. Cherished grandfather of Kristen LaRocque and William Craig, Paige and Cole Steenwyk, and Sierra and Jenna Kennedy; step grandfather of Jarrod Galway; and great grandfather of Felix Bebee LaRocque and Landyn Labarge. Predeceased by his parents Jennie and Albert Steenwyk, and brothers Peter, Albert and Leo Steenwyk. Klaas will also be missed by in laws Tryn and Ellen Steenwyk, Jim Donovan (Deb), Joe Donovan (Janet), Theresa Bannerman, Marg Sullivan, Ronald Barkley (Donalda) and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends to celebrate memories of Klaas's life, at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 484 in Mallorytown on Saturday January 23rd, 2016 from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. In memory of Klaas, donations to CHEO would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
