Obituary of Glenn Abrams
dearPeacefully entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital Charles St. Site on Sunday December 31st, 2017. Glenn Abrams of Brockville and formerly of Ottawa aged 80 years. Beloved husband of Gail (Nunn) Abrams. Loving father of Lianne Johnsen (Warren) of Ottawa and Jennifer Abrams (Kevin Beatty) of Glen Ross. Cherished Poppa of Glenn and Neil Johnsen. Dear brother of Betty Lloyd. Predeceased by parents Walter and Bessie (Lane) Abrams and sister-in-law Shirley Nunn. Also missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Glenn was born and raised in Gananoque. He attended Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and graduated in 1959 from their construction and architecture program. Glenn and Gail settled in Ottawa where he was active in the construction industry. In 1979 they moved to Brockville and opened a business together. He was a music lover and sang in the Brockville Community choir for over 20 years. He was a talented artist and enjoyed creating watercolour paintings for his family.
Family and friends are invited to the Celebration of Glenn’s life to be held at St. Lawrence Anglican Church, 80 Pine St. in Brockville, on Thursday January 4th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Glenn donations to the St. Lawrence Anglican Church or Brockville District Hospital Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
