Lori-Ann Stewart

Obituary of Lori-Ann Hazel Stewart

Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on  Saturday January 26, 2019. Lori-Ann Hazel Stewart of Lyn age 46 years. Beloved wife of Richard Stewart, loving mother of Zachery of Toronto and sister of Kenneth Pinkowski. Lori will be missed by her many friends neighbours and co-workers. Lori had our son, Zack, in 1993.  She graduated as a sign language interpreter and communicator and planned to attend Carleton in Ottawa when she met her husband, Richard, who happened to live in Brockville. She would eventually stop her studies and moved in with Richard where she met her best friends, Sandy and Andrew.  And in time she came to work in accounts receivable at Hendrix Restaurant Supplies, meeting many friends that she loved to the end. Sadly in 2011 she said goodbye to her mother, Jean and her father, Mike, far to quickly after.  But she then moved to Lyn and graduated from her at home studies for accounting at Carleton. Then she began working at Newterra where she set about befriending more people with her "bright light" personality. She enjoyed billiards nights with her Hendrix friends, boardgames with Kyle and Marie, and New Year's and other card game nights with Sandy and Andrew. She loved her mothers dog, Buddy, cats Bugs, Mittens and Tipper, and our first dog Rocky. Lori passed surrounded by loved ones who travelled as far as Kingston and Dunbar to selflessly spent all night with her.

Family and friends will be received for a Memorial Reception at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville, on Saturday February 9, 2019 from 1- 3:00 p.m.  Interment will be at a later date. In memory of Lori donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (Lung Cancer Research) would be greatly appreciated by the family.  Messages of condolence may be sent online at www.barclayfuneralhome.com.
