Lynne and Family: My sincere condolences to you and your family on the passing of Burt. I first met Burt many years ago at the Leeds and Grenville County Board of Education Central Office. I worked in accounting and had many conversations with Burt as Principal. Later our paths crossed when he became Superintendent of Education at our office. I remember Burt's great smile and for always being positive even when things were not going according to plan. May your treasured memories bring you comfort during your time of grief and May Burt rest in eternal peace.
Sincerely
Pat Warren

It is with grieving and heavy hearts that Ginger, I and our family mourn the passing of Burt. He entered our Friendship Circle over 55 years ago and then took charge of it. Burt and I met as fellow staff members at Mallorytown School. Where, with Burt's capable organization skills we formed a small team to negotiate the first salary grid with the Front of Yonge School Board. Fellowship and Friendship continued when later he and I served as Administrative Assistants at the Leeds and Grenville Board Office. My retirement didn't lessen the friendship and later I joined him at his Income Tax Business. Ginger became Burt's personal barber and tended to making his hair just-so while Lynne and I discussed the state of the world, Brockville and shopping. Burt worked tirelessly whether an employee, an employer or when he and Lynne hosted numerous get-togethers, such as Canada Day, Grandparents Day and Boating or BBQ Days at the Perkins' Cottage or at their home. Our memories of many, many wonderful times with Burt will keep his memory alive in our hearts as long as we live. Deepest sympathies to Lynne, Jason, Michelle, Aaron, Shawna, Jamie and their families.

Brian & Wendy. I am very sorry to hear of Burt's passing. I got to know Burt a number of year's ago when
he started doing my yearly income tax returns. I cannot express enough what a true gentle, understanding & kind
man he was. We had so many great conversations each & every year I would go out to his house to get my tax return
downstairs in his decked out Montreal Canadiens rec room. We had so many good laughs. Even though my visits were
short, I cherished those moments spending that time with Burt. I just simply enjoyed my drive out to Temperance Lake road
every year wondering what Burt & I would be talking about this time. Rest in peace my friend. You will definitely me missed
by all your family & the lives of all the the people you touched along the way. God's speed Burt. You will forever be remembered a true friend.

Condolences to the Perkins family. I enjoyed many good conversations with Burton after discovering our shared love of boxing. On a trip to NYC with Mrs. Perkins in 2008, Burton brought back to me a beautiful program from the Roy Jones Jr vs Tito Trinidad bout at MSG. Total surprise and a super nice gift. That's the kind of guy he was. Again condolences to the family.

Mr. Perkins was one of my teachers at Mallorytown school. He surely made a difference in a lot of people's lives. For me, he taught me that it was okay to be smart and to venture into unknown frontiers. For others (like the "tough" guys), he earned their respect by putting one arm behind his back and doing 10 one hand pushups. He really knew who was struggling and gave them a hand up. We were all very lucky to have him as a teacher.
