Linda, and Family of Harley,
We were very saddened to read of Harley's passing, and to have known about his enduring illness over the last few years - our hearts go out to you, and we extend our sincerest condolences to the whole family!
Sheila fondly remembers the years in high school, when he and Linda dated.
Although Don didn't know Harley well, I remember the time, when waiting to cross the street in Brockville (not having seen him for years), he gave me the warmest greeting you could imagine, and that has stuck with me all these years; I felt so gratified to have been honoured by him in this way.
May you be comforted by the support of family and friends, and by fond memories of your time with Harley!

As his Assistant Superintendent, I worked closely with Harley for a period of 10 years just prior to my retirement from LGCBE. It was a great pleasure to work with him. He was a great guide, mentor and supporter — and a fine gentleman.
Harley cared about the teachers and the students and what transpired in the classrooms.

Jane and I send our condolences to Linda and family on the passing of Harley. He was a trusted colleague and accomplished educator who worked to improve the schools that he served. Harley helped me through several challenging times as my Superintendent and we were also able to celebrate many Board-wide accomplishments together. Our leader and mentor, Frank Kinsella would often comment on how positive Harley's attidude was, even in the most difficult situations.
