Obituary of Doris Evelyn Connell
Entered into rest, surrounded by her family, at the Brockville General Hospital on Tuesday February 4, 2025. Doris Connell of Maitland aged 78 years. Beloved wife of the late Bill Connell. Loving mother of Stephen (Rose Simones), Scott (Debbie), Sherry, and Kevin (Karen) Connell. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Shane), Jeffery (Kaleigh), Kathryn (Tim), Eric (Elias), Ashley (Matt), Holly, Jordie (Meaghan), Jamie (Kelsey), Natalie (Kyle), Garrett (Maddy), Taylor (Kyle) and the late Grace and Richard; and great grandmother to 15 great grandchildren. Doris leaves behind her sister Pat Slate, her brother Bruce (Beverly) Lavery, and sisters-in-laws Beverly and Marilyn Lavery. Dear daughter of the late Kenneth and Evelyn (Boulton) Lavery. Doris is predeceased by her brothers Ron, Garnett, Jerry, Russell and Ken (Marion) and brother-in-law Don Slate. Also missed by many in laws, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received for visitation at Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Monday February 10th, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service which will be held in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. In memory of Doris, donations to Maynard United Church or the Arthritis Society Canada would be appreciated by the family.
