Obituary of Lillian Clow

Lillian Clow(nee Shackles)

July 20, 1932 - February 17, 2025.

Having lived her life focused on this goal, Lillian passed suddenly at her earthly home and entered her HEAVENLY HOME into the Presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is reunited with Cliff, her beloved husband of 67 years along with countless friends and relatives including her six siblings and son in law, Roy Chapman. Lillian’s legacy is evidenced in her large, close-knit family. Along with her sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews, she leaves behind her five devoted children and their spouses, Nancy Luckey (Peter), Linda Jarvis (Doug), Dan Clow (Shelley), Lori Chapman (the late Roy) and Les Clow. She was an adored Nanny to her sixteen grandchildren and their spouses. Her twenty-seven great-grandchildren brought her great delight, and their remarkable G-Nanny prayed for each of them by name every night. Lillian was a charter member of the Brockville Wesleyan Church where she served and savored the fellowship of her church family for over sixty-six years. Her ever-bright mind, wit, thoughtfulness and engaging personality drew people in as evidenced by her many friends. The care and kindness of her new and old friends in recent years bore witness to God’s faithful provision in her life.

Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St., E., Brockville on Thursday February 27 from 6-8pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Brockville Wesleyan Church, 33 Central Ave., Brockville at 1pm on Friday, February 28th. Internment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Garden, Maitland. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Brockville Wesleyan Church, Silver Lake Wesleyan Camp, Houghton University: “Clow Family Legacy Endowment” would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
