Obituary of Carol Ann Mulchey
June 21, 1939 – March 3, 2025
Carol Mulchey passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, surrounded by family on Monday, March 3rd, 2025 at the age of 85.
Born in Toronto, Carol, is survived by and lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Heather Mulchey (nee Spence). She was also a much loved and devoted aunt to her nephew John Livernois (Janette Hayhoe), niece Laurie Stather (Chris Dunwell), niece Liz Filman (Jamie) and nephew Ian Mulchey (Kimberley) and her very large number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Carol was predeceased by her beloved companion Bruce Burns, her sister Audrey Livernois (Cliff Livernois)(Curtis Davis) and her brother Ronald Mulchey, and her parents William and Rena Mulchey.
Carol’s career took her from roles within the pharmaceutical industry working at Apotex in Toronto to proudly assisting Bruce as a mail carrier when they made their home in Cardinal, Ontario.
A passionate sports fan, Carol bled blue for her Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Toronto Blue Jays and she was first in line celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles Superbowl win this February.
Bruce and Carol moved to Brockville in their retirement and Carol spent over 20 years there sharing special times with friends and could often be found in her favourite place watching the ships in the harbour.
Carol leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and friendship, and if you were one of the lucky ones, just a little bit impish mischief and fun. She will be missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to express their deep thanks and appreciation to all the wonderful caregivers and PSW’s who made Carols’ life so much more comfortable.
And we would like to give an Extra special thanks to Wendy for not only her extraordinary care but love and kindness - a true angel on earth.
