Obituary of Bev Kirkland
Beverly Ann Kirkland entered into rest with family by her side at the Brockville General Hospital on Friday March 14, 2025. Beverly Ann (Johnston) Kirkland of Maitland age 82. Beloved wife of Eric Place and the late Gordon Kirkland. Loving mother of Daniel Kirkland (Dana) and Deborah Kirkland-Edson (Mike). Cherished grandmother of Aaron Kirkland (Tabatha), Richard Kirkland (Rezan), Cara Rodney (Ryan), Marc Charbonneau (Jaimie) , Shayna Edson and great grandmother of Braxton and Maddox Rodney, Kodie-Lynn Sampson and Cameryn Rogers. Bev is survived by her stepchildren Sharon Pyke (Steve), Don Place and grandchildren Tyler Hutchins, Nicholas Place and Josh Place and their families. As well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Basil and Kathleen (Baynham) Johnston.
Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville, on Saturday March 22nd, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at St. James Cemetery, Maitland in the spring. A celebration of life will follow the service at the Prescott Legion 141 Henry Street, Prescott. In memory of Bev, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care or the Prescott Royal Canadian Legion Branch #97 would be appreciated by the family.
