In Loving Memory

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Sherman, who left us on April 25th, 2025, from an unexpected medical event. Born on May 31, 1950, Nancy was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength, touching the lives of all who knew her.

Nancy was born in Toronto, where she spent her formative years surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. She was a devoted daughter to Sam and Sophie Sherman, and grew up alongside her beloved sister, Goldie. Nancy shared a close-knit bond with many cousins—Dan, Sharon, and Lynda to name a few —fostering deep, lifelong connections through countless cherished moments.

Throughout her life, Nancy was known for her unwavering dedication to her family. Her children David, Samantha (Jordan Huck) and Grandchildren Grady and Mia, were the pride and joy of her life, and she devoted herself to nurturing and guiding them with endless patience and wisdom.

Her second love was her work. She found great purpose and pleasure in her career. Being a leader at Canadian Colleges, including St. Lawrence, Humber, and George Brown in roles such as Dean, Associate Dean and Director during her life. She will be remembered for her contributions and the legacy she leaves behind in her field.

Beyond her professional and familial roles, Nancy was an avid Golfer and new Pickle Ball addict. Her enthusiasm was evident in all she pursued.

Nancy's life was characterized by her compassion, generosity, and unwavering spirit. She touched countless lives with her kindness and left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her moto was to “just jump in” and live a life of servant leadership. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire and guide us.
