Obituary of Anna Piotto

Anna Giuditta Piotto entered into rest peacefully, June 6, 2025 at St. Andrew's Terrrace in Cambridge, Ontario.

Born to Agostino and Maria in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, Anna was pre-deceased by her husband Mario Piotto in 2000. A devoted mother, Anna's memory is cherished by her children Monica Verin (Eros), Silla Piotto (Jacqueline), and Daniele Piotto and grandchildren Amy Verin and Julia Verin (Jordan). 

Left to mourn in Italy are her sisters, Clelia, Sylvia and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was the youngest of seven siblings. She is sadly pre-deceased by Lydia, Carla, Silvio, and Ugo. Family in Brockville include sister-in-law Mirella Piotto and nephew Massimo Piotto. 

Anna was a talented dressmaker and seamstress who enjoyed her career independence, while embracing the role of homemaker. Settling in Brockville, Ontario with Mario in 1963, she retained her authentic Italian identity, lifestyle and striking beauty, whether watching Formula 1 (F1) or dressing for the grocery store in heels and a silk scarf. Together, Anna and Mario established a meaningful life on Oxford Avenue amongst dear neighbours and friends. 

Family and friends are welcome to attend the Liturgy of Christian Funeral, which will take place at St. Francis Xavier Church, Brockville on Thursday June 12, 2025 at 10:30 am.
