



Obituary of Max Farrelly
Max Cedric Farrelly passed away with Family by his side on June 7, 2025 around 9pm at Brockville General Hospital Paliative Care Unit. Pre-deceased by his wife, Eleanor Farrelly (Keetch). He will be greatly missed by his children Cathy Splane (Tim), Kim Baumann (Leo), Eric Farrelly (joelinda) and his Grandchildren Brittany, Lindsay (Tyler), Shelby, Courtney (Shannon), Jenny, Christopher. And his great grandchildren Astin, Addison, Adlee, and Miles Allan.
Max was an intelligent man, with a love for music and painting. Max married Eleanor who was a nurse in 1959 and they raised their family in Brockville. He was very proud of his family and very involved.
Max was recruited during the Korean War for chemical warfare, and shortly after graduating from Guelph University of Agriculture he was fortunate to be hired at Parke Davis in Brockville as a chemical analyst until he retired after 40 years.
Max was very involved with 1st Presbyterian Church over the years serving in various capacities and enjoyed being part of their choir and learning to play the handbells. Max was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Family and Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Thursday June 12, 2025 from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at First Presbyterian Church, 10 Church Street, Brockville at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or the BDHF Palliative Care. Messages of condolence can be sent online to www.barclayfuneralhome.com.
