Obituary of Helga Annelise Gommert
Peacefully entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Thursday June 12th, 2025. Helga (Bratz) Gommert of RR# 3 Mallorytown age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Werner Gommert. Loving mother of Andrea Derochie, Roger Gommert, Ronald Gommert and the late Michael Gommert. Cherished grandmother of Rachel Gommert, Nicole Derochie, Catherine Watson (Rob), Jordan Steeves and her great grandchildren Elizabeth Harrison, Farrell Harrison and Eloise Watson. Dear daughter of the late Adolf and Charlotte (Shwartz) Bratz. Sister of remaining siblings, Renate Correale and Lilo Irwin. Also dearly missed by daughter-in-law Bonnie Pidgeon and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service in honour of Helga will be held at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Thursday July 3rd, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. In memory of Helga, donations to Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
