Obituary of Leon Montgomery
Peacefully at the Fox Run Retirement Residence, Gananoque, on Thursday November 20th, 2025. Leon Montgomery formerly of Lansdowne, age 95 years. Beloved son of the late Samuel and Eula (Patience) Montgomery. Dear brother of Evangeline Chisamore (Donald) of Kingston and brother-in-law of Marjorie Montgomery of (Belleville). Predeceased by sisters Bessie Ferguson, Loverna Montgomery and Eileen Runnings; brothers Charles, Allen, Irvin and Carson Montgomery; niece Karen Chisamore; and nephew Donald Runnings. Also missed by several nieces and nephews.
Leon’s career spanned 36 years with Canadian National Railway with Purchases and Materials. His last assignment at Capreol was as Stores Attendant.
By request, there will be no public visitation or service. Cremation will take place with a private family graveside service in the spring at the Union Cemetery. In memory of Leon, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Lanark, Leeds, Grenville would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
