Peacefully, in Brockville General Hospital, on Thursday, March 22, 2012, in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Frances (nee Brown). Loving Dad to Michael (Suzanne) and Christopher. Caring Grandpa to 7 grandchildren. Cherished brother of Barbara Lajeunesse (Moe) and Doug (Fiona). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Son of Ken (Ace) and Jeanne Bailey, John was born in Ottawa but, typical of many armed forces children, received his education in a number of cities. He settled in Pincourt, Quebec, with his wife, Fran, where they raised their two children. John retired from Air Canada in 2001 to spend more time at his favourite place, the family cottage at Hillcrest, just west of Brockville. A celebration of John's life will be held in early summer in Brockville. Donations in his memory can be made to the Brockville & District Hospital Foundation.
