It is with great sorrow that we announce Nicholas’s passing. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, and their children Sarah, Benjamin and Emily. The son of Prof. Henry (predeceased) and Jean Mayo, he is also survived by his brothers Timothy (Carole), Daniel (Sarah) and Alexander, as well as nephews John and Christopher. Nicholas achieved a Diploma in Musical Performance from the Guildhall School of Music (training at the Royal Academy of Music), a B.A. in Musical Education from McGill and an M.A. in Canadian Studies from Carleton. Nicholas devoted most of his working life as a civil servant. Nicholas will be sorrowfully missed, Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
