Obituary of Barbara Ann Kelsey
Suddenly passed peacefully into the Kingdom of Heaven at the Brockville General Hospital on Sunday July 2nd, 2023.
Born to Hugh & Forella (Convery) MacMillan in Addison. She grew up with her 11 siblings on the family farm in Jellyby.
Barb (MacMillan) Kelsey of Athens aged 79 years. Beloved mother of Ken and the late Kevin Kelsey. Cherished grandmother of Tyler, Kaitlin, Dereck, Ryan, Kyle, Matthew, Courtney and Meaghan. Loving sister of Lois (Bill) Leach, Shirley DeJong (the late Peter DeJong) and Robert Kelsey, Bob (Lee) MacMillan and sister-in-law Shirley MacMillan. Predeceased by her siblings Dorothy (Gib) Johnston and Raymond Hammond, Leonard (Irene), Ellard (Doreen), Allan (Barb) and Ruth, Harvey (Carole), Eddie, Kenneth, Illa. Also loved and missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and her church family.
Visitation at Athens Free Methodist Church, 58 Elgin St., N., Athens on Friday from 10:00am – 1:00pm followed by the Funeral Service held in the church at 1:15pm. Interment at Glen Elbe Cemetery following the service. In memory of Barb, donations to the Athens Free Methodist Church, the Ottawa Heart Institute, or the Arthritis Society Canada would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
A faithful member of Free Methodist Church, Bible Study Group and Prayer Group. A true servant for God. Enjoyed visiting with friends and family, the lake, traveling, volunteering, helper and serving whenever and wherever she could.
