Obituary of Ronald Harold O'Brien

On June 18, 1938, the sun rose, and the world welcomed Ronald Harold O’Brien. That day the world became much brighter. Ron sadly passed away on December 8, 2023, after living a full and warm life, filled with joy, happiness, and kindness. As he was transitioning to join our guardian angel Heather, he was surrounded by family, love, and support.

Ron was predeceased by his daughter Heather, and he is survived by his wife Elaine, his daughter Melinda, his bonus daughter Jen, and various family members and friends.

Ron, your presence brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing you. It’s time for you to soar with the other angels and be free. We will think of you and Heather every day. Please hug her for us and know that we will be ok. Together forever, and forever it will be!

The Liturgy of Christian Funeral will be Celebrated on Monday December 18, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, with reception to follow at Barclay Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
