Eileen Lambert

Obituary of Eileen Lambert

After a long and full life, Eileen Lambert (nee Kennedy), has passed away peacefully with family by her side at Carveth Care Centre in Gananoque on February 7, 2024.  She was 93.

Beloved wife of the late Judson Lambert (2010), loving mother of Tina Richards (Raymond), Gregory Lambert (Pierre), Cindy Lambert-Grebinger (Richard).  Predeceased by Mark Lambert (Deborah) and fondly remembered by her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Born on January 2nd, 1931 in Brockville, Ontario and raised in Mountain Station, Eileen attended Brockville Business College and worked at Brockville Town Hall and Philips Cables.  After meeting her husband Jud, Eileen moved throughout Quebec and Northern Ontario as Jud furthered his career in the Pulp & Paper Industry.  Upon Retirement, Eileen and Jud moved back to Brockville to fulfill Eileen’s life long dream of being back in her home town on the St. Lawrence River.

Eileen was a dedicated mother first and foremost.  She treasured her grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.  She loved to sing and was an active member of many community and church choirs.  She enjoyed gardening in the summer and her flower garden was her pride and joy.  An animal lover and advocate, Eileen donated generously to local animal shelters.

Friends and family are invited to attend a ‘Celebration of Life’ for Eileen on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 at Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville, Ontario from 1:00 ~ 3:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank Carveth Care Centre who made the last two years of our mother’s life as enjoyable as possible as well for their attentive care and kindness shown to our mother during her short stay in Palliative Care.

As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
