I met Cindy through Lansdowne United Church where she always made sure that my Mom, Nancy Webster, always had a cup of tea after the service. When Mom moved into assisted living in Gananoque, she would mail her a card and tea bag, "from your tea buddy". Then she started sending me cards and tea bags and I would send her cards and a different kind of tea bag. I saw her stocking the Food Bank shelf at the Post Office and doing other kind things. Though I live in Edmonton, I knew I had a new friend in Lansdowne! I know how much I will miss her kindness and send my sincere condolences to her family on the loss of such a lovely woman. No doubt she is making my Mom tea up in Heaven.

We first heard of Cndy years ago when she helped my Aunt, Nellie Mackie, who lived beside her for years. Aunt Nellie trusted her, liked her, and enjoyed her company, as well as appreciaed her help. I jus know that Aunt Nellie would want me to share that.
I smile as that is typed, as Aunt Nellie didn't always sing people's praises. Cindy would chuckle at that.
Then, for the last few years, Piet and i have had the pleasure of knowing her as a member of Lansdowne United Church. We shall miss her quiet, soothing voice that shared interesting and funny stories and jokes.
We shall miss her quiet presence, as she sat, usually away from others, and listened to the sermons or listenend to conversatons after church.
We shall miss the tasty snacks she used to treat the congregation with after the service and that she even brought extras some Sundays in case others forgot. |\She had a big heart.
She helped so many people in her quietly, self-effacing manner.
She usually had a big smile to greet a person if she met us out in public somewhere.
We are so grateful that her path crossed ours and sorry that circumstances keep us from attending her celebration of life.
She will be missed.

Cindy was in my brain group. Always a soft spoken, caring women. She was always bringing something to group wether it was books, newspaper articles, jokes or words of wisdom. She always had a sparkle in her eye when she talked about her kids, her mom & her grand babies.
