Obituary of Grange Grothier

Entered into rest peacefully at his residence, with family by his side on Friday June 14, 2019. Beloved husband of Margaret (Kelly) Grothier. Loving father of Lisa Grothier (Peter Buell), Jennifer MacDonald (Robert), Jeffrey Grothier (Amy) and Rebecca Casselman (Josh MacKinnon). Cherished grandfather of Connor, Carley, Rachel, Sarah, William, Lindsay, Emily, Kelly, Gage, Dayton, Giles, Georgia, Presley, Rowan, Tessa and Jace. 

Grange is survived by his sister Marilyn Grothier. He is predeceased by his parents, Ernie and Aileen (Black) Grothier. 

Grange was a man of deep integrity and wonderful wit.   He was the best father and husband, a valued friend, community leader, world traveler and so extremely well read that he could speak on just about any topic that arose in conversation.   He was deeply loved by his family who all feel fortunate to have laughed with, learned from, and been loved by this special man.   

Family and friends may pay their respects at Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Tuesday, June 18th  2 -4 & 7- 9 p.m.

A celebration of Grange’s life will be held on Wednesday June 19, 2019 in the Barclay Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm followed by a reception.   This will include a Macoy Masonic Lodge #242 service with all sister Lodges invited to attend.

Friends and family are invited to the home of Grange’s daughter, Becky, on Quabbin Road in Mallorytown following the service.
