I've known Linda for over 30 years. LeAnne used to babysit our daughter, Cara on occasion and we would see each other in our little community. After she married Lyle, they moved a couple of times but I dealt with her at Hansler Smith while I was working in Brockville so we would catch up on our families when we talked. Over the last several years, I followed her mostly on FB. I saved her recipes, commented on many of her posts, told her I couldn't believe LeAnne's kids were old enough to be getting married (because that meant we were getting really old). We joked back and forth about things like that.
I also know she fought hard to stay with the family she loved more than anything, for as long as she could. Cancer is a beast that takes some of the best long before we are ready to let them go.
Linda, I will never forget your laugh, I will bake your cakes and I will think of you with a smile.
To Lyle, LeAnne and everyone else who adored her, your hearts better be huge because you have a lot of wonderful memories to tuck in there. I wish you peace as you work your way through this. Linda was a very special lady and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Dear Lyle and family
I am truly sorry for your loss
Linda and I were once very close friends and shared many good times together. She was a bridesmaid for me when Everett and I were married in 1966. Although the good times were separated by many years, we would often meet up at a store somewhere and reminisce about bygone days. It was during those times she would tell me how happy she was and how proud she was of her children and grandchildren. She would talk about how her illness had changed her priorities and reminded me of what was important in life.
