Passed away peacefully Thursday March 11th. 2004, with her family at her bedside at the General Hospital in Brockville, Ontario. She was born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton on April 3rd 1919. She was the daughter of Archie and Ann (McDonald) Johnson. She lived and raised her family in Glace Bay and recently moved to Ontario to be with her children. She was a longtime member of Newsom United Church, she was active with the U.C.W. until her move. She taught Sunday school in her earlier years. She enjoyed sewing, her gardening and many other outdoor activities, and especially loved to walk. She enjoyed bowling and skating and gave these activities up in just recent years. Her main interest were her family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Charles Graham in January 2004 and her first husband William (Nipper) Attwood in 1970. She is survived by her children Sylvia (Jim) McManus, Eric (Marva) Attwood of Brockville. Daughter in law Jean Attwood of Sydney, N.S., Grandchildren Catherine Attwood, Jean Ann (Connor) Ryan of Truro, N.S., David Attwood, Leonard (Deanna) Attwood all of Sydney, Wesley (Leslie) DeJeet, Angela (Scott) Rikley of Brockville, Russell Attwood, Calgary,Alta. as well as 10 Great-grandchildren, her brother Neil (Irene)Johnson of Fredericton,N.B. Predeceased by her son Leonard Attwood, a sister Sadie Norris and a brother Malcolm Johnson. Funeral Service on Monday March 15th. at 1:30 p.m. at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East Brockville, Ontario. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at a later date at Forrest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney. The family request no flowers,please. Donations can be made to Newsom United Church or the charity of your choice.
