Peacefully with his family by his side at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Tuesday March 31, 2009. William (Bill) James LaForty of Brockville aged 79 years. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Zaveda) LaForty and Edith Irene (Lavine) LaForty. Dear dad of Michael LaForty (Suzie) of Port Hope, Pamela Knapp (Terry) of Athens and Scott LaForty (Kim) of Arnprior. Loving grandfather and great grandfather of Jeremy Knapp, Dawn Sly (Matt), Orre Knapp (Trista), Bryan LaForty (Barb), Sarah LaForty, Courtney LaForty, Curtis Sly, Breanna Sly, Haley LaForty and Marley Knapp. Brother of Patricia Hull (Russell). Also survived by a brother-in-law Bill DeJong as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Richard LaForty, his parents Clarence LaForty and his wife Hattie (Irwin) LaForty and his siblings Hartland LaForty, Hiriam (Hi) LaForty, Grant LaForty, Betty Oxbro, Mary Deare, Linda DeJong and Charles (Mick) LaForty. At Bill's request a private family visitation will be held followed by a Graveside Service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
