PEKKONEN, Jorma “Joe” Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital Charles Street Site on Saturday October 5th, 2013, Joe Pekkonen, aged 84 years. Loving father of Anneli Pekkonen (Tim Wright), Rita Shaw (Kevin) and Paul Pekkonen . Cherished grandfather of Alicia, Benjamin and Jocelyn. Dear brother of Hilkka (Pekkonen) Ripattila and Tellervo (Pekkonen) Kahara. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and Hildur (Claesson) Pekkonen. Predeceased by parents Matti and Aino Hilma (Kiuru) Pekkonen, brother Veikko Pekkonen and brothers in law Pentti Ripattila and Art Kahara. Family and friends may call at the Highway Pentecostal Church, 800 Stewart Blvd, Brockville on Thursday October 10, 2013 from 10 to 11 am. The Funeral Service will follow being held at 11:00 am. Interment at a later date. In memory of Joe, donations to the Highway Pentecostal Church or to World Vision Canada would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
