Retired Elizabethtown Fire Chief, former Phillips Cables Employee and long time Newboro Fishing Guide entered into rest peacefully at St. Lawrence Lodge, on Thursday March 26, 2009. Donald Edward White of Brockville age 81 years. Loving husband of Bernice (Chambers) White. Cherished father of Carolyn White (Bob), Cindy Smith (Steve), Steve White (Marilyn) and Donna Jonker (Theo). Don is survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well by his sister-in-law Betty White of Westport. Also survived by his nephew Tom and his nieces Ann, Wendy, Mary Ellen, Michelle and their families and by his cousin Jean Black of Kingston. Predeceased by his parents William Arthur and Sarah (Mutch) White, a brother Arthur White and a sister Doris Eliston. Family and friend may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday March 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
