William Henry Maynard Godwin passed away suddenly amongst his family January 31, 2013 aged 82 years. Bill is survived by his loving wife Annie Roberta, married 60 years. Predeceased by his parents William and Hazel, sister Sandra Anson (Lee) and granddaughter Brooke Clark. Also survived by sister Gail, brother Allan (Judy); five children: Debra Clark, William (Susan), Diane Sheridan (Dave), John (Franziska) and Thomas; five grandchildren: Jamie Clark, Dana Nicholas and Adam Sheridan and Christopher Godwin. Also many nieces, nephews and their children. Born and raised in Kingston, Bill spent his working career with his father’s firm (W.H. & Son General Insurance) and Automatic Electric Limited (31 years). Bill was well known in the Kingston-Brockville District where he played Junior and senior hockey for both the Inkerman Rockets and Brockville Magedomas. Bill was laid to rest in a Private Service with his family. In memory of Bill, those wishing may make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
