SYMINGTON, Ida Hilda Entered into rest at St. Lawrence Lodge on Wednesday March 13, 2013, Ida Symington in her 102nd year. Born at Jellyby, August 19, 1911 the only child of Roy Symington of Jellyby and the former Margaret Canning of Newboro. She received her education at Jellyby. Her mother died when she was young so she helped her father on the family farm and did his housekeeping and care until he passed away in 1956. She made her home in Brockville since then. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, corresponding with friends and reading. Surviving Ida are cousins in Canada and the United States. Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville, on Saturday March 16th, 2013 from 12:30 until the time of Service. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 2:30 pm. In memory of Ida, donations to the Mary Jane Hawkins Foundation at St. Lawrence Lodge would be greatly appreciated.
