Entered into rest with family by his side at the Brockville General Hospital (GSS) on Friday March 8th, 2013. Joseph Wilfred Ashby of RR# 2 Prescott age 82 years, beloved husband of the late Mildred Vivian Vail and the late Benita Campbell. Dear father of Kenneth (Betty), John (Lorraine), Richard (Chelsie Shorrock), Deborah Burnett (Brian). Step father of Deborah Lalande (Charles), Paul Campbell (Mary) and Sharon Campbell (John Harrold). Loving grandfather of Corey Ashby (Sarah), Pamela Hicks (Richard), Alan Burnett, Ian Burnett (Sarah Warnock), Michelle Ferguson (Shawn), Nicholas Ashby (Patricia), , Christopher Ashby (Leigh-Anne), Ryan Ashby (Stephanie Robinson), Kaitlyn Ashby (Dustin Miller), Andrea Carrier (Steve Bryant), Julie Sendrowicz (Michal), Matthew Carrier (Elizabeth), Emmanuel Lalande (Josee-Anne Couture), Samantha Campbell (Josh LeCompte), Justin Charbonneau, Tanya Charbonneau (Peter Campbell) and Joshua Campbell-Harrold (Tara Coughlan). Great grandfather of Taylor Ashby, Cameron Hicks, Michael Ashby, Xandra and Samantha Ashby and Tristan Sendrowicz. Wilfred is survived by his sister-in-law Pearl Ashby as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joseph William and Ethel May (Lambert) Ashby, brother Robert, stepson Steven Campbell, and grandson Matthew Ashby. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Monday March 18, 2103 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at St. John’s Anglican Church, Prescott on Tuesday March 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Lord’s Mills Cemetery in the spring.
