Surrounded by family at the Ottawa General Hospital, Nellie Elizabethe Birtch (nee Johnston) of Merrickville entered into rest peacefully on Saturday, February 14th, 2015. Nellie was the beloved wife of Grant and loving mother of Ryan. Sister of Glen Johnston (Brenda) of Perth and Cathy Holder (Gary) of Temperance Lake. Missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Raymond (Jack) and Marjorie (Johnson) Johnston. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East, Brockville on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service to celebrate Nellie’s life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at11:00 a.m. A private family interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
