Entered into rest at St. Lawrence Lodge on Wednesday March 18, 2009. Richard Borden Dixie of Brockville age 96 years. Borden was the last remaining child of the late William and Eleanor (Kavanaugh) Dixie. He predeceased by his siblings Kathleen Egan (George) , Harold Dixie (Fern) , Lillian Scott (Leonard) , Arthur Dixie (Anna) , Kenneth Dixie (Bessie) , Lawrence Dixie (Dorothy) , Hilda Miller (Gerald) . He is servived by his loving niece Carol Thurlby and her husband Dr. Malcolm Thurlby, his dear friend and business partner John Creighton and his wife Jennifer Burchell Creighton, and his close friend Theresa Ouellet (Remi). Dear uncle of Eleanor Cammidge (Richard), Karl Miller (Marion), Joan Stewart (Bruce), Elaine Lawrence (Stan) predeceased, Sharon Tedford (Gord), Marion Geenham (Raymond) predeceased, Eleanor Greenham (Rick Thompson) predeceased, Donald Greenham (Jennifer), Marjorie McLaughlin (John), John Dixie (Ronnie), Jim Dixie (Joan), Bill Dixie (Donna), Doug Dixie (Cathy), Howard Dixie predeceased (Marlene), Raymond Dixie (Merla), Madeline Ashton (Fred predeceased), Ronald and Guy Dixie predeceased, Jean Moore (George), and June Dixie. Also survived by his cousin Betty Ireland and fondly remembered by the Owners and employees of Dixie & Egan Feeds. Borden's family would like to thank all his Personal Care Workers for their service and kindness to him. In addition the family would like to thank the staff of St. Lawrence Lodge.
