Thomas Edward Dorie, WWII veteran, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 8, 2012 at St. Lawrence Lodge at the age of 94 years. Beloved husband for over 63 years of the former Elva Knowles. Dear father of Tom (Brenda) of Huntsville, Ron (Heather) of Brockville and Donald of Calgary. Loving grandfather of Jennifer Sulan (Dan), Alison Purser (Brody), Brandi Charman (Brian) and great grandfather of Jenna and Jackson Charman and James Sulan. Predeceased by his parents, Dan and Elizabeth (Gagne), his brothers, Arthur and Henry and his sisters Millie and Rita. Survived by his brother Sid (Gladys) and several nieces and nephews. At Tom’s request, there will be no visitation and a private gravesite service will be held. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
