Entered into rest , peacefully with family by her side, at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Friday October 12, 2012. Lila Ruth (Hanton) Tanney of Brockville in her 90th. year. Beloved wife of the late Robert William Tanney. Lila is survived by her sister-in-law Beatrice Shearer of Brockville as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William and Ada Irene (Hanna) Hanton, a sister Cora Cole and brothers Fred , Bill, Victor, Stanley and Homer Neddo. Also pre-deceased by her dear friend Betty Ireland. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday October 17, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
