Entered into rest at Sunnybrook Hospital, on Monday January 19, 2015. Thomas McGregor Murray of Toronto aged 89 years. Beloved husband of Janet (Hayes) Murray. Tom is survived by his sister Helen Roberts of British Columbia and his sister in law Susan Oxford of Brockville as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Marion (Scott) Murray. Tom immigrated from Glasgow, Scotland in the early 1950’s and during his 34 years at George Brown College he taught plumbing, mechanical drafting and blueprint reading. During Tom’s retirement he and Janet enjoyed trips to visit relatives in Britain and British Columbia. Each July for 25 years they vacationed with many friends at a Balsam Lake Resort. Due to declining health Tom spent his later years at Revera Donway Place Retirement Home where he received excellent care. His last days were spent at Sunnybrook Hospital in ER (Orange Zone), also floors D6 and C4 again receiving excellent care. Many thanks to all caregivers over Tom’s last years. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery, Brockville in the spring.
