Peacefully at Maple View Lodge, Athens on Sunday April 5, 2009. Walter Alexander Roberts Thompson of Glen Buell age 81 years. Beloved husband of the late Helen Marie (Brayton) Thompson. Dear father of Dale Thompson of Prescott, Dawn Marie Dawson and her friend Gerry Churchill and Cindy Ireland-Thompson and her husband Clint all of Brockville. Loving grandfather of Michele (Tom), Gabriel, Bradley, Jason, Justin, Wendel, Carlee, Tyler, Kendra, Lucas, Mackenzie and great grandfather of Dylan, Cheyanne and Tristan. Survived by his daughters-in-law Shelley Thompson of Brockville and Jackie Thompson of Calgary, brother-in-law of Earl Brayton (Barb) of RR# 4 Brockville, Norma Savage (Denis) and Myrtle Brayton all of Brockville as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sons David and Duane Thompson, his parents David A. Thompson and his wife Isabell (Gribben) Thompson, a brother and three sisters. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be held in the Chapel on Thursday April 9, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
