Passed away peacefully, at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Friday December 30, 2011. Lillian May (Henwood) Payne of Brockville in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Payne. Dear mother of Carole Ross (John) of North Augusta, Valerie Eligh (Jerry) of Brockville and Jennifer Payne-Oddie (Donald) of Kingston. Cherished grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Sister of Doris Mills, Stanley Henwood both of England and Dorothy Beckett of BC. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by a daughter Jillian Payne in infancy as well as several brothers. A Funeral Service for Mrs. Payne will be held in the Chapel of the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East Brockville on Wednesday January 4, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In memoriams to St. Paul’s Anglican Church or the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
