Entered into rest, peacefully with his family by his side at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site, on Saturday November 5, 2011. James David Austin Cotie, longtime resident of Brockville, age 75 years. Beloved husband and dear friend of 53 years to Bernice (Whittle) Cotie. Dear father of John Cotie (Tammy) of Brockville and James Cotie (Karen) of Elizabethtown. Loving grandfather of Harper, Emerson, Jade and Evan. Lovingly remembered as “Uncle David” to Phillip, Tana, Tyla and Haley Gilbert. Brother of Ann Dixon (Steve) of Brockville, Mary Borthwick (Burt) of Oakville and Helen Shea (John) of Edmonton. David is also survived by dear friends Brenda Beattie, Don Beattie, Doug Beattie and Judy Stewart. Pre-deceased by his parents James Alfred and Mary (Gillies) Cotie.
