Entered into rest with family by his side at the Brockville General Hospital Charles Street Site on Tuesday December 27, 2011. Mintje Michael Reen of Brockville age 82 years. Beloved husband of Muriel Helen Cowan and the late Betty Reen. Dear father of Terry Reen, Janet Wood (David) all of Brockville. Cherished grandfather of Michael and Ricky. Step-father of Brock Cowan (Rita), Laurie Cowan (Mike), Greg Cowan (Joanne) also survived by step-grandchildren Michelle, Adi, Ryan, Tim, Eric, Sam and Grace. Brother of Pete Reen, and brother-in-law of Dianne Reen. Michael is survived by an aunt Margot Faber and cousins Wim Hoekema, Nienke Hoekema, Joop Reen, Janney Reen and good friend Rennie deJong. Predeceased by his son Donnie Reen, his parents Tjeerd and Janna (Faber) a brother Frank Reen and a sister-in-law Frances Reen. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East Brockville on Friday December 30, 2011 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, at a later date.
