After a courageous battle with cancer we are saddened to announce the passing of a true gentlemen and kind family man. Survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Gladys, children Michael, Richard (predeceased), Karen and Gary, their respective spouses and his ten grandchildren. Gerry enjoyed life. Particularly the challenges that came from managing his business, golfing on weekends, boating the Thousand Islands and hosting family and friends at the cottage. His enthusiasm for the good times with our family will be sadly missed. Special Thanks to all the healthcare professionals who comforted him during a long battle with cancer and all the kind messages, thoughts and prayers received from friends during his illness. A gathering for friends and family to celebrate Gerry's life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in the name of Gerry McGuire to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
