Peacefully, in the arms of his wife Shirley on Wednesday September 28, 2011 at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site. Douglas Donald Beach of Brockville, age 73 years. Beloved husband of Shirley (Speakman) Beach. Dearly loved dad of Donna-Marie Hyde (Robert) of Addison, Donald Beach (Elaine) Amherst, Nova Scotia, Donna McGarry (Frank) and Freda Mans (Vince) all of Hamilton. Cherished grandpa of Mike, Jennifer, Douglas, James, Peter, Kris and Brianna. Great poppa of Sarah and Bradlee,Also survived by his mother-in-law Pat Speakman of Hamilton and well loved and best friend and brother Bob McNamara (Lynda) of Lyndhurst and the entire McNamara family. Pre-deceased by his parents Ralph Beach and Violet Sunderland, sister Freida Lynds (Ralph), brother Lloyd Sunderland (Madeline) and a nephew Lloyd Kelly. At Doug’s request there will be no visitation or service. Private cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, in memoriams to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
