Entered into rest peacefully, with his family by his side on Thursday September 1, 2011 at the Kingston General Hospital. Elton Birtch Junior of Brockville age 77 years. Beloved husband of Alice (Beauchamp) Birtch. Loving father of Elaine Bangma (Bill) of Mallorytown, Linda Haggerty (Joe) of Grande Prairie Alberta, Christine Saker (John) of Czar Alberta, Michele Chappell (Randy) of Mallorytown and Danielle Ritchie (Jason) of Meaford. Cherished grandfather of Xan, Kristan (Peter), Sarah, Austin, Lauren and Aiden and great-grandfather of Victoria and Kale. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents Elton Sr. and Phyllis (Latham) Birtch and a brother Fred Birtch. A Memorial service for Elton will be held at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Tuesday September 6, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In memoriams to The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 96 Brockville would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
