Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the Brockville General Hospital Garden Street Site on Thursday June 30, 2011. Wonderful loving wife of Ed Kennedy. Cherished, beloved mother of Sierra and Jenna. Tammy is survived by her father Klaas Steenwyk and stepmother Cathy. She is predeceased by her mother Maxine. Tammy is also survived by her sister Mary LaRocque (Kyle) niece and God Daughter Kristen and nephew William, her brother Steven Steenwyk (Laurie) and niece Paige and nephew Cole. She will also be missed by her mother in- law Pauline (Phil), brother in law Colin sister in law Laraine (Shawn) niece Emma and nephew Carter. She leaves behind many friends that will remember the laughter, the fun and the memorable personality that made Tammy one of a kind. Family and friends are encouraged to come celebrate Tammy’s life at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Monday July 4, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 3 p.m. Interment will follow at Mallorytown Cemetery. In remembrance donations to the education savings fund for Sierra and Jenna can be made at the Funeral Home, cheques payable to Ed Kennedy in Trust would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
