Peacefully, at his residence Thursday June 16, 2011. Bill Fyckes of Brockville aged 91 years. Beloved husband of the former Beatrice Skelton. Father of Carol Gillmoure (Howard), Roger Fyckes, Deborah Fyckes all of Brockville and Diana Beck (Ken) of Prescott. Loving grandpa of Bill Gardner (Sue) of Thunder Bay, Richard Gardner, Cheryl Fyckes (Jim), Scott Fyckes (Sue), Shannon Fyckes all of Brockville and Jonathan Beck of Prescott. Also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson in infancy Joseph Fyckes as well as siblings Irene, Noreen, Doreena, Harold, Ronald, Donald and Rhoda. A Memorial Service will be on Tuesday June 21 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In memoriams to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would by gratefully acknowledged by the family.
