Peacefully, surrounded by her loved family on Saturday January 15, 2011. Florence Martha (Southin) Blackwell of Brockville, age 96 years, beloved wife of the late Frederick Blackwell. Dear mother of Wayne Blackwell (Dianne) of Brockville, Patricia Maranda of Montreal, and Colleen McMahon (Dave) of Brockville. Loving grandmother of Tanya Quinn (Russ), Dave Blackwell (Laurelle), Jennifer Brouwer (Tim), Dr. Julie Maranda (Marc), Dr. Robert Maranda (Stephanie), Beth McMahon (Matthew) and Andrew McMahon (Krystin). Also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by siblings Leslie Southin, Lillian Phillips, Harry Southin, Arthur Southin and Margaret Foldeak. Her independent spirit, love of family, storytelling and warm scones will live on in our hearts and memories. In honouring her wishes, a private service will be held.
