Entered into rest peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Thursday January 27, 2011. Daniel William Root of Brockville age 56 years, beloved husband of Cathy (Elliott) Root, dear father of Shawn Birtch and Denece Ham (Greg) all of Brockville. Stepfather of Crystal Hanna (Mike) of RR# 4 Brockville, Veronica Wicher (Phil) of RR# 3 Brockville, Jason Kelly of Richmond, BC. Loving grandfather of Sydney, Hannah, Jacob, Noah, Corben, Charlie and Knox. Danny is survived by his father Clark Root (Alberta) of Tin Cap, brothers Brian (Laura), David (Norma) and Steve all of Brockville, sisters Gail Gallenger (Randy) of Chilliwack, BC and Jo-Anne Yost of Red Deer, AB his in-laws Ray and Barb Elliott of North Augusta, Jackie Watson (Terry) of Brockville, Kim Elliott (Val) of Salmon Arm, BC and Chuck Elliott (Darlene) of Athens, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Lillian Root and a sister Karen Root. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday February 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. In memoriams to the Liver Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
