After a valiant struggle with Lung Cancer, Des Nolan passed away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Brockville General Hospital on Saturday October 23, 2010. Des was the darling husband of Sue for fifteen beautiful years. Loving father of Graham (Laura), Lloyd (Karen Gilbert), Mark (Wendy), Terry (Carol) and twins Sandra Campbell (Neil) and Blair. He was also the cherished stepfather of Camilla and Shannon (Steven). Grandfather and great grandfather of many. He will be sadly missed by his sister Mary Comerford (Jack) of his hometown of Carlow, Ireland and siblings in England, Wales and New Zealand. Loving Daddy to his dog, Owen. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the, Palliative Care Unit, Brockville General Hospital or the Brockville S.P.C.A. Des had requested that there be no Funeral. Cremation has taken place. His Ashes will be interred in the family plot in Ireland. As a respected Elder of the community said “Des was a good man”, and he was. Rest in Peace Dearest Des.
