Leslie George Merrifield of Perth age 83 years, beloved husband of Verna Merrifield (Ellis) and the late Betty Brown, Joan Enns and Audrey Bocking. Loving father of Joan Merrifield (Cathy Welch), Nancy Merrifield (Tom Sones) all of British Columbia, Russel Merrifield (Dorothy) of North Augusta and Lesley Merrifield (Greg Weir) of Ottawa. Grandfather of Jamey Lauinger, Samantha Martin (Samuel), Ryan Merrifield, Adam Merrifield (fiancee Erin Mosier) and Michael Sones, also survived by a step son Richard Enns. Brother of John Merrifield (Betty), Gladys and Ruby Merrifield. Predeceased by his parents George and Ruby (Jones) Merrifield and a sister Violet Brown. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Friday from 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 5, 2010 in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
