It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William (Bill) Charles McIntyre, age 78 years of Brockville at the Brockville General Hospital Charles Street Site on Friday August 13, 2010. Beloved husband of Stella, cherished father of Michael and Jane and her husband Greg Benson. Devoted grandfather of William and Karen McIntyre, Troy and Samantha Benson. He will be missed by his brothers-in-law Ivan, Graham, Claire, Barry Merkley and his friend Maureen McLean. Dear uncle of Kim Brown and Vicki and Corinne Merkley. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre-deceased by his parents Elisha and Mae (Serviss) McIntyre and a sister-in-law Betty. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl St. East Brockville, on Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 7- 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday August 18, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery at a later date.
