Following a courageous battle with cancer at the Brockville General Hospital Garden Street Site on Tuesday March 16, 2010 surrounded by family. Winnifred (Winn) Ellen (White) Swayne of Brockville, beloved wife of the late Hugh John Swayne. Will be missed by son Fred, daughter-in-law Sue (McAuslan), granddaughters Mary-Ellen of Montreal, Lori-Anne (Al Matheson) of Kanata and Bev of Montreal, great-grandchildren Jake, Sam and Emma Matheson. Also survived by a sister Gladys Hannan of Mactaquac NB, several nieces and nephews including her favourite niece Brenda Donovan and her husband Paul and their daughter Kate all of Brockville. Predeceased by her parents Frederick Barnard and Nell Ellen (Martin) White, sister Annice Priddle and brothers Benjamin White, Henry Hewitt and Stanley Hewitt. The family gratefully acknowledges the compassionate and loving care from the staff at Bridlewood Manor and 5th Floor Staff at the Palliative Care Unit of the Brockville General Hospital. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl St. East, Brockville on Friday March 19, 2010 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
