Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care Unit on March 10, 2010 in her 71st year, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Dear wife of Allan, loving mother of Donna (Bob) Ferguson, Howard (Sarah) Stewart, Billy (Angie) Stewart, and grandchildren Ashley, Bradley (Amanda), Kaylee, Madison, Chloe, Jodie and great-grandchildren Mia and Taylor. Darleen was predeceased by her parents Percy and Anna St. John, a brother Donald St. John, a sister Patricia Morrow and a brother-in-law Tom Parks. She will be greatly missed by her sisters and brothers, Edna (Gordon) Porter, Shirley Parks, Susan (Dave) Bodhaine, Edward (Donna) St. John, Jean (Tom) Miles, John (Kim) St. John, Bernard St. John, Dale St. John, Norma (Grant) Edgley and Marie (Rob) Jeffers. Fondly remembered by many family and friends. Darlene was born in Cornwall, Ontario on Saturday January 8th, 1939 and raised in St. Andrews by her grandparents Angus and Sophie St. John until she was 14 years old, when she moved to Brockville and attended Hallecks Public School and BCI while working as a nurse
